Responsibilities

Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of facilities.
Perform preventative maintenance to extend the life of equipment.
Respond to maintenance requests promptly.
Supporting compliance with food safety, health & safety and industry regulations
Assisting with general upkeep including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor electrical tasks
Working collaboratively with other maintenance and operations staff to maintain a safe and efficient site

Skills

Previous experience in building or facilities maintenance

Knowledge of basic trades (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, etc.)

Ability to troubleshoot effectively

Located in Ipswich in South East Queensland, the JBS Dinmore Plant is the largest beef processing facility in the southern hemisphere. The plant employs approximately 2,000 team members with a processing capacity of 3,400 head of cattle per day.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Facilities Labourer to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our site facilities and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards to support safe and efficient operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Carrying out routine inspections, maintenance and repairs of buildings, fixtures, and infrastructure
Performing preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment and facilities
Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner to minimise disruptions to production
Supporting compliance with food safety, health & safety and industry regulations
Assisting with general upkeep including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor electrical tasks
Working collaboratively with other maintenance and operations staff to maintain a safe and efficient site

About You

Previous experience in building or facilities maintenance
Experience in the meat or food industry highly regarded
