Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd is seeking a Release Train Engineer to lead Scaled Agile delivery on government ICT programs in a hybrid Sydney-area setting. The role requires 8–10 years delivering complex projects with governance experience and Baseline clearance readiness.

12-month contract with extension option, minimum 3 days in the office, and collaboration with Product Managers, Scrum Masters and security teams to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years’ experience delivering complex ICT projects using Scaled Agile.
• Strong project management and governance experience within Federal or State Government environments.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and recognised project management or SAFe Agile qualifications.
• Strong capability facilitating cross-squad ceremonies and prioritising program backlogs with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scaled Agile ceremonies including PI Planning and PI retrospectives.
• Manage the Release Train backlog and ART roadmap with Product Managers and Scrum Masters.
• Coordinate delivery of technical components including architecture, cyber and security.
• Manage delivery risks, issues and escalations while coaching teams in Agile ways of working.

Release Train Engineer | Scaled Agile

Location: VIC, NSW

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week in the office, with flexible arrangements for the remaining 2 days

Contract Duration: 12 months with one 12-month extension option

Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain Baseline clearance
