Job summary

JBS Australia is seeking a Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator to join the Afternoon Shift team at Beef City Plant, 35km west of Toowoomba. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will drive injury management and rehabilitation activities on the PM shift, ensuring WHS compliance and liaising with medical providers and employees.

The role emphasizes fostering a strong safety culture, effective return-to-work processes, and collaboration with stakeholders across the site.

Qualifications

Formal qualifications in WH&S and Return to Work preferred.
Experience in injury management and knowledge of workers' compensation.
Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Good computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems efficiently.

Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance with the JBS Rehabilitation and Health & Safety Management System.
Assisting the WHS Advisors on investigations for injuries, near misses or hazards.
Participating in internal and external audits, ensuring the site maintains compliance and implements any changes.
Promoting safety culture and early intervention systems to manage injuries.
Providing workplace rehabilitation within the guidelines of the Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act.
Leading injury management and rehabilitation on the PM shift.
Consulting and liaising with medical providers, employees , supervisors and other stakeholders in regards to injuries.
Communicating with the Workers Compensation Self Insurance department.
