Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District’s Ryde Hospital seeks an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead the GR4 Rehabilitation unit and drive high-quality patient care. The role is temporary part-time, 14 hours per week, with a start until 1 August 2028 and potential ongoing employment depending on funding and service needs.

As NUM, you will oversee a 24-bed inpatient ward, support clinical teams, and ensure compliance with NSW Health policies, immunisation requirements, and safe workforce

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse-Division 1 with APHRA and relevant management qualification or equivalent work experience.
• Proven ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team.
• Strong written and verbal communication and computer literacy in Microsoft Applications, roster management systems and electronic medical records.
• Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in change management processes.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Unit Manager will manage a unit or ward to provide a quality standard of care to NSLHD patients.
