Job summary

Prince of Wales Hospital, part of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager – Recovery Unit. This temporary part-time role will lead a multi‑disciplinary team and oversee staffing across AM/PM shifts to support safe, high‑quality patient care.

You will report to the Nurse Manager Operations and collaborate with the After Hours Nurse Manager, driving clinical excellence and staff development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience with commitment to professional development.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in management and delivery of health care services.
• Proven ability in innovative clinical service delivery and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and co-ordinate patient or client care.
• Ensure nursing/midwifery practice is safe and efficient with quality improvement.
• Lead and coordinate the nursing/midwifery and multi-disciplinary care team.
• Monitor and manage business and management functions of the ward or unit.
