Job summary

Lockyer Valley Regional Council is seeking a Coordinator Building, Plumbing and Compliance in Gatton to lead a team delivering building, plumbing and development compliance services. You will provide technical guidance on regulatory matters and ensure services align with legislative obligations and council policies for sustainable development.

You will oversee inspectors and certifiers, drive consistent delivery, mentor staff, and foster strong relationships with applicants and the community

Qualifications

• Experience leading plumbing inspectors, building certifiers and development compliance officers.
• Expert building, plumbing and compliance advice on complex matters.
• Regulatory services delivered timely, consistent and customer-focused.
• Strong relationships with internal stakeholders, applicants and the community.
• Continuous improvement of compliance processes and systems.
• Contribution to strategic compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support a team of plumbing inspectors, building certifiers and development compliance officers.
• Provide expert guidance on complex regulatory matters.
• Ensure services are timely, consistent and aligned with legislation and processes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and the community.
