Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking an experienced compliance investigator to handle diverse regulatory matters in the Toowoomba region. You will conduct desktop and field investigations, assess evidence and prepare evidentiary material to support regulatory action.

Based in Toowoomba with regular office attendance and flexible work arrangements where feasible, you will also engage with stakeholders, manage end-to-end case workflows, and contribute to proactive compliance activities for the QBCC's

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Government Investigations or higher.
• Two years' experience in complex investigations.
• Current Australian driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload investigating alleged legislative breaches through desktop and field activities.
• Assess evidence, conduct site audits and prepare reports and evidentiary material.
• Recommend regulatory action in line with legislation, policies and procedures.
• Engage with consumers, licensees, industry representatives and other stakeholders to provide regulatory advice and responsive service.
• Support regional operations including front counter and stakeholder engagement activities.
