Job summary

Calvary Hospital Kogarah invites two registrars to join the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit for a fixed-term period from August 2027 to January 2028. You will work under supervision, contribute to patient care, and participate in after-hours on-call duties, including weekend rounds.

APPLYING candidates must hold unconditional AHPRA registration and have at least two years of supervised RMO experience, with strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Unconditional Registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA.
• Minimum two years supervised practice as an RMO.
• Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
• Proven ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
• Good organisation and time management skills.
• Experience in Rehabilitation Medicine/Geriatric medicine preferable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage clients in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Calvary, Kogarah.
• Support day-to-day monitoring and management under supervision of a Rehabilitation Specialist.
• Participate on the after-hours/on-call Calvary Hospital medical officer roster, including weekend ward rounds.

About the role

This position involves assessment and management of clients attending the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Calvary, Kogarah. It is responsible for supporting the day-to-day monitoring & management of patients attending the unit under the supervision of a Rehabilitation Specialist. This position will also require participation on the after-hours/on-call Calvary Hospital medical officer roster, including weekend ward rounds.

About you:

1. Unconditional Registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA and a minimum of at least two years supervised practice as an RMO

2. Excellent communication skills verbal and written, with demonstrated computer skills

3. Proven ability to work with a multidisciplinary team

4. Good organisation and time management skills

5. Experience in Rehabilitation Medicine/Geriatric medicine is preferable

6. Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
