Job summary

Calvary Care is seeking two fixed-term full-time registrars to work in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Calvary, Kogarah. The positions are accredited for AFRM training and include after-hours/on-call duties and weekend ward rounds under a Rehabilitation Specialist.

Eligibility requires unconditional AHPRA registration and at least two years of supervised RMO practice, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Rehabilitation/Geriatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold unconditional AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner.
• Minimum of two years supervised practice as an RMO.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Calvary, Kogarah.
• Support day-to-day monitoring and management under supervision of a Rehabilitation Specialist.
• Participate in after-hours/on-call roster and weekend ward rounds.

About the role

This position involves assessment and management of clients attending the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Calvary, Kogarah. It is responsible for supporting the day-to-day monitoring & management of patients attending the unit under the supervision of a Rehabilitation Specialist. This position will also require participation on the after-hours/on-call Calvary Hospital medical officer roster, including weekend ward rounds.

About you:

1. Unconditional Registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA and a minimum of at least two years supervised practice as an RMO
2. Excellent communication skills verbal and written, with demonstrated computer skills
3. Proven ability to work with a multidisciplinary team
4. Good organisation and time management skills
5. Experience in Rehabilitation Medicine/Geriatric medicine is preferable
6. Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah
