Job summary

Newcastle Anglican invites applications for permanent Registered Nurse positions across its Anglican Care aged care facilities in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. You will act as a team leader at ward level, mentoring staff and coordinating person-centred care with strong communication and teamwork.

Ideal candidates are registered with AHPRA, have palliative care experience, and can work flexibly across morning, afternoon and night shifts. A drivers licence and police check are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in palliative care and knowledge of AN-ACC for high-quality care of older adults.
• Proven leadership of staff and effective teamwork.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Current Australian RN registration (AHPRA) and a valid driver’s license.

Role & Responsibilities

• Experience in palliative care, knowledge of AN-ACC and providing high quality care of the ageing people
• Demonstrated experience in leadership of employees
• Excellent time management, an ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Current Drivers Licence

About you

• Registered Nurse with current registration under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Proven ability to deliver person centre care that respects the dignity and worth of the individual.
• Drivers licence + reliable transport
• Be available to work a range of shifts - morning, afternoon and nights
• National Police Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes)
• Willingness to undergo a functional assessment and drug and alcohol screening
• Current NDIS Check
