Nepean Hospital, part of the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District, seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Transit Lounge team on a permanent full-time or part-time basis. You will help manage patient flow, deliver nursing care, and coordinate safe transitions across a busy hospital setting.

The role requires current AHPRA registration, a patient‑centred approach, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team across a flexible roster, including days, evenings, or nights.

Qualifications

• Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
• Experience as RN with relevant clinical skills and possibly a new graduate year.
• Ability to provide person-centred, family-inclusive and culturally safe care.
• Ability to organise and prioritise work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Flexible roster availability (day/evening/night shifts).

What you will bring to the role

• Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
• Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate year or equivalent experience working as a registered Nurse).
• Demonstrated capacity to provide effective Nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
• Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
• Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
