Job summary

Newcastle Anglican is seeking a Registered Nurse for a permanent part-time position at Storm Village, Taree. You will lead ward teams, mentor staff, and coordinate person-centred care with strong communication across colleagues and shifts.

Job description

We have a permanent part-time opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Anglican Care aged care service at Storm Village Taree.

You will have the ability to act as a team leader and mentor at ward level, participating in effective teamwork and maintaining communication with colleagues to promote collaboration and facilitate the coordination of person-centred care. Your strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills will prove invaluable as you work collaboratively with a range of staff.

Shifts - 53 hours per fortnight:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday: 2.30pm -10.30pm

Friday: 6.30am - 2.30pm

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday: 2.30pm - 10.30pm

Saturday, Sunday: 6.30am - 2.30pm

Role & Responsibilities:

• Experience in palliative care, knowledge ofAN-ACC and providing high quality care of the ageing people
• Demonstrated experience in leadership of employees
• Excellent time management, an ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Current Drivers Licence

About you?

• Registered Nurse with current registration under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Proven ability to deliver person centre care that respects the dignity and worth of the individual.
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement)
• Able to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
• National Police Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes)
