Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Patient Access and Logistics Service (PALS) in St Leonards. The role focuses on centralised coordination to maximise patient care capacity and efficient resource allocation.

You will work within a district patient flow service, collaborating with NSLHD facilities and external providers. NSW Health requirements include immunisation and OASV completion during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Division 1, with post-registration qualifications or clinical experience as deemed appropriate.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and advanced nursing skills in care planning and safe patient care for flow and transfer of care.
• Knowledge of Patient Information Systems; particularly PFP, eMR and NSW Ambulance Service Arrivals Board.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inter-hospital transfers and manage patient flow within NSLHD PALS.
• Liaise with Facility Patient Flow Units and surrounding districts to optimise access to safe care.
