Job summary

Yackandandah Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide overnight clinical care within our 83-bed residential aged care home. You will report to the Care Manager, manage resident care needs, respond to changes in condition, administer medications and support care staff to ensure safety and continuity of care.

This permanent part-time role covers four nights per week (Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), totaling 47.5 hours per fortnight.

Qualifications

• AHPRA Registration required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in the aged care sector.
• NDIS Check (or willing to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Holistic resident assessment in partnership with residents and representatives.
• Develop and evaluate individualised resident care plans.
• Supervise and support Personal Care Workers.
• Deliver clinical care including wound management, palliative care and medication management.
• Coordinate with medical and allied health staff.

What you will do

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring:

• Holistic assessment in partnership with residents and their representatives
• Development and evaluation of individualised resident care plans
• Supervision and support for Personal Care Workers
• Clinical care, including wound management, palliative care, and medication management
• Liaison with medical and allied health care staff
• Provision of safe, high-quality care in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
• Positive resident experience through a resident-first approach

Who are you and what will you bring?
