What you'll be doing

As a Registered Nurse in Intensive Care, you'll bring your clinical judgement, critical care experience and person-centred approach to every shift. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while continuing to develop your practice. Key responsibilities will be to:

• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality, evidence-informed nursing care
• Recognise and respond to changing patient needs while managing competing clinical priorities
• Collaborate effectively with patients, families, carers and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, care plans and progress records
• Contribute to education, mentoring, quality improvement and evidence-based practice within the service

You will have

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Recent experience in Intensive Care, critical care nursing, or other relevant experience considered appropriate by WSLHD
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail
• Computer literacy and an understanding of relevant health information systems

Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria

• Recent demonstrated experience in the Intensive Care setting or critical care nursing/other experience deemed appropriate by WSLHD
• Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
• Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail
• Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
