We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the General Surgery team at Nepean Hospital in a temporary role. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Nurse to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team and provide high-quality, patient-centred care to surgical patients throughout their hospital journey.
As a Registered Nurse in General Surgery, you will be responsible for delivering safe and effective Nursing care across the Perioperative and Postoperative patient journey while working collaboratively with Medical, Allied Health and Nursing colleagues.
This is a role that will provide high-quality, evidence-based Nursing care to patients undergoing general surgical procedures, conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans, monitor patients pre- and post-operatively, recognising and responding appropriately to changes in clinical condition, administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, provide education and support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures, recovery and discharge planning and maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
