Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) invites you to join the Coronary Care Unit at Nepean Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic CCU setting and contribute to a multidisciplinary team.

Your role focuses on acute cardiac conditions, collaborating with medical staff while maintaining safety and compassionate care for patients and families. This part-time position supports a rotating roster and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA.
  • Recent experience in Acute Care Nursing as a registered nurse.
  • Experience in Coronary Care Unit / Critical Care Nursing.
  • Able to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient with eMR.
  • Commitment to person-centred care and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality patient-centred care in the Coronary Care Unit.
  • Collaborate with Medical, Nursing and Allied Health teams to optimise patient outcomes.
  • Support patients and families during critical cardiac conditions and transitions of care.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to NBMLHD policies.

Join our Coronary Care Unit and make a difference where every moment matters. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Nepean Hospital.

Working in the CCU is a rewarding opportunity to care for patients with complex and acute cardiac conditions in an environment where your knowledge, clinical judgement and compassion can make a real difference. You will play an essential role in providing safe, high-quality, patient-centred care to patients and their families during some of their most challenging moments. As a Registered Nurse in the CCU, you will be an important part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

What you will bring to the role
  1. Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in Acute Care Nursing as a registered nurse (including Completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)
  3. Demonstrated evidence of recent experience in Coronary Care Unit/Critical Care Nursing
  4. Able to perform effectively as a team member
  5. Demonstrated effective communication skills – written, verbal and eMR
  6. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centre care
  7. Ability to work flexible rotating roster including Mornings, Evenings and Night shifts 7 days week
