Job summary

Sydney Local Health District is recruiting a 3 North Registered Nurse specialized in Cardiovascular care. The role involves delivering safe nursing care, wound management, and operating the cardiac monitoring system, with involvement in pre- and post-procedure care for cardiology and vascular patients.

Ideal candidates hold current AHPRA registration, 12+ months RN experience, and full availability for rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. NSW Health vaccination requirements apply.

• Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• 12+ months experience as a Registered Nurse; cardiology/vascular exposure ideal.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective nursing care within the Cardiovascular unit.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
• Attend to patients' wound care and postoperative needs.
• Manage the cardiac monitoring system and respond to alarms.
• Support patients and families through cardiology procedures and recovery.

As a 3 North Registered Nurse in Cardiovascular, you will be responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, attending to patient's wound care, managing our cardiac monitoring system, supporting patients pre and post cardiology procedures and vascular surgeries, and supporting patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey. You will bring strong clinical skills, sound professional judgement, and a commitment to excellence in care delivery.

Ideal Candidate

Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).

Has 12+ months experience working as a Registered Nurse. Cardiology and Vascular experience is ideal.

Has full availability to work 24-7 rotating shifts, weekends and nights. All candidates must have full working rights within Australia.
