Fresh Hope Communities invites a Registered Nurse to join Alexander Campbell House in NSW on a casual basis. The role focuses on holistic resident care, wellbeing, and community connection within an aged care setting.

Higher hourly rates apply, with salary packaging and ongoing training opportunities. You will lead and coordinate care staff, deliver the nursing process, and work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure tied to best practice.

Qualifications

• Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Knowledge of legislation, regulations and best practice in aged care
• Ability to lead a Team of Care Staff
• Clinical assessment skills and commitment to best practice in care delivery
• Organisational and planning skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Criminal History Check within the last 3 years suitable for aged care (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest standard of care for residents in line with Aged Care Standards and Aged Care Act
• Deliver comprehensive care and individual case management to residents
• Ensure effective delivery of the nursing process from entry to exit by professional standards
• Lead and coordinate care staff to deliver resident care, activities, medication administration and interventions
• Coach care staff to improve care quality and close knowledge gaps
• Liaise with multidisciplinary team for holistic person-centred care
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and staff

Overview

As a Registered Nurse you will deliver holistic care for residents that prioritises health, wellbeing, and community connection to support the changing needs of residents.

The Opportunity

• Higher hourly rates (between $47.79 – 56.52) plus the benefit of salary packaging

Your Contribution

• Provide the highest standard of care for residents in accordance with the Aged Care Standards and Aged Care Act
• Deliver comprehensive care and individual case management to residents according to the organisational clinical framework and care model
• Ensure effective delivery of the nursing process through resident entry, assessment, care planning, delivery, evaluation and exit by recognised professional standards
• Lead and coordinate care staff to effectively deliver residents’ care, everyday activities, administration of medication and interventions that promote overall resident well-being and meaningful engagement
• Coach the care staff to enable them to deliver high quality care and develop skills and knowledge gaps
• Liaise with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic person-centred approach
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and other staff members
