Job summary

Mayfield Aged Care in Newcastle, NSW is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, evidence-based clinical care while leading and supporting care staff during each shift. You will work closely with residents and families to ensure personalised care that promotes dignity and quality of life.

You will complete comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and maintain clinical documentation in line with aged care standards.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for caring for older people.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
• Sound knowledge of contemporary aged care practices and clinical documentation.
• Experience in residential aged care is desirable but not essential.
