Job summary

Respect Mareeba Gardens in Queensland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our supportive team on a full-time basis (38 hours per week). You will provide safe, person-centred clinical care to residents under AHPRA guidelines, reporting to the Care Manager and General Manager.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA.
• Knowledge of Residential Classification Scale and Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Current National Police Certificate or ability to obtain one.

• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Understanding of aged care accreditation process.
• Aged Care Worker Screening compliance.

Responsibilities

• Compile a comprehensive history from residents and families to identify care needs.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation reflecting care delivery.
• Develop and evaluate resident care plans and assist with admissions.
• Provide direct clinical care including personal hygiene, pain management, massage therapy, and GP rounds.
• Administer medications and ensure correct ordering, storage, and documentation.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to deliver outcomes.
• Promote a safe, respectful environment for residents, families, and colleagues.

Respect Mareeba Gardens, Queensland is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join our supportive team on a full-time basis (38 hours per week). The roster will be confirmed with the successful candidate and will require flexibility to work across a variety of shifts.

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, competent, and contemporary clinical nursing care to residents within the scope of practice as determined by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Reporting directly to the Care Manager and General Manager, the Registered Nurse plays an integral role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the wellbeing, dignity, and independence of residents.

Key Duties

• Compile a comprehensive history from residents and/or family members to identify care needs through resident admissions and ongoing assessments.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation that reflects care delivery.
• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate resident care plans, and assist with admission assessments.
• Provide direct clinical care to residents as required, including (but not limited to) personal hygiene, pain management, massage therapy, and participating in GP rounds.
• Administer medications and ensure correct ordering, storage, and documentation procedures are followed in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional resident outcomes.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents, families, and colleagues.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Knowledge of the Residential Classification Scale and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
