Job summary

Respect Gracemere Gardens in Queensland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our supportive team on a Part-time basis. The RN provides safe, competent clinical care to residents within scope defined by AHPRA, reporting to the Care Manager and General Manager.

You will develop and evaluate care plans, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, administer medications, support resident wellbeing, dignity and independence, and comply with aged care standards.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of aged care standards and accreditation processes.
• Ability to obtain National Police Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Compile comprehensive histories and assess care needs for admissions and ongoing care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation reflecting care delivery.
• Develop and evaluate resident care plans and assist with admissions assessments.
• Provide direct clinical care including personal hygiene and pain management, under GP rounds as needed.
• Administer medications and ensure proper ordering, storage and documentation.

Respect Gracemere Gardens, Queensland is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join our supportive team on a Part-time basis. The roster will be confirmed with the successful candidate and will require flexibility to work across a variety of shifts.

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, competent, and contemporary clinical nursing care to residents within the scope of practice as determined by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Reporting directly to the Care Manager and General Manager, the Registered Nurse plays an integral role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the wellbeing, dignity, and independence of residents.

Key Duties

• Compile a comprehensive history from residents and/or family members to identify care needs through resident admissions and ongoing assessments.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation that reflects care delivery.
• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate resident care plans, and assist with admission assessments.
• Provide direct clinical care to residents as required, including (but not limited to) personal hygiene, pain management, massage therapy, and participating in GP rounds.
• Administer medications and ensure correct ordering, storage, and documentation procedures are followed in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional resident outcomes.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents, families, and colleagues.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Knowledge of the Residential Classification Scale and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Current National Police Certificate (or the ability to obtain one).
• Understanding of government standards and legislative requirements for the delivery of aged care.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• An understanding of the aged care accreditation process.
