Job summary

Orana Aged Care in Kingaroy is seeking a Registered Nurse for a casual shift pattern to deliver and oversee high-quality clinical care. You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, monitor health, and respond to emergencies while supporting residents with dementia and end-of-life needs.

The role requires unrestricted AHPRA registration and a nursing degree, with strong documentation skills and the ability to lead care teams in a residential aged care setting.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Nursing.
• Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Ability to lead and support care teams in a residential aged care environment.
• Sound computer literacy and clinical documentation skills.
• Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or eligibility to obtain).

Responsibilities

Salary: $50.83 - $60.53 Hourly Base Rate (Including casual loading) + Shift Penalties, Allowances + Super

The Impact You'll Make:

As a Registered Nurse, you'll be responsible for delivering and overseeing high-quality clinical care while supporting residents with a range of complex and changing needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting clinical assessments and developing person-centred care plans
• Monitoring resident health and evaluating care outcomes
• Providing complex nursing care, including wound management and chronic disease support
• Responding to health concerns, acute deterioration and clinical emergencies
• Supporting residents living with dementia through safe behavioural management practices
• Delivering palliative and end-of-life care with compassion and professionalism
• Administering and managing medications in line with best practice guidelines
• Supporting infection prevention and control initiatives
• Leading, mentoring and supporting Enrolled Nurses and Personal Carers
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and care records
• Working collaboratively with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes
