Job summary

HV Group (trading as RJV Migration Services) seeks a qualified Migration Agent to join our team in St Leonards, NSW. The role involves client consultations, migration pathway assessments and preparing lodgments for visas, sponsorships and nominations.

You will work with solicitors and staff to ensure timely, compliant submissions, maintain records, and keep clients informed of progress, fees and risks. Registration with OMARA and relevant Australian qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Current OMARA registration and valid MARN.
• Appropriate qualifications to practise as a Registered Migration Agent in Australia.
• Sound knowledge of Australian migration law, visa processes and compliance requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client matters and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations and assess eligibility for suitable Australian visa and migration pathways.
• Provide accurate and ethical migration assistance in accordance with Australian migration legislation and the OMARA Code of Conduct.
• Prepare, review and lodge visa applications, sponsorships, nominations and other migration-related matters.
• Draft professional submissions, statements and responses to requests for further information and procedural fairness matters.
• Liaise with the Department of Home Affairs, skills-assessing authorities, educational institutions and other relevant organisations.
• Manage client matters from initial consultation through to finalisation, ensuring deadlines and application requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate client records, file notes, correspondence and supporting documentation.
• Keep clients informed about the progress of their matters, expected timeframes, fees and potential risks.
• Conduct legal and policy research and stay informed about changes to migration legislation, regulations and departmental policies.
• Work collaboratively with solicitors, paralegals and administrative staff while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

We welcome applications from experienced agents, as well as suitably qualified agents with limited work experience. Relevant experience is preferred but may be considered flexible for applicants who meet the required qualifications and registration requirements.

About you

• Current registration with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA) and a valid MARN.
