South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Registered Midwife to join the Maternity Unit at Fairfield Hospital. This permanent part-time role (20 hours per week) offers exposure across Women and Children’s health and a collaborative, supportive team environment.

You will need AHPRA registration, recent midwifery experience, and demonstrated compassionate, culturally responsive care. The role includes participating in safety and quality initiatives, strong patient/ family

Qualifications

• Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
• Recent experience as a Registered Midwife in a relevant environment.
• Ability to provide safe compassionate care that is culturally responsive.
• Effective communication with patients/consumers, families, carers and multidisciplinary team.
• Professional conflict resolution.
• Evidence of critical thinking in midwifery care.
• Understanding of risk management, WHS and quality improvement.
