Job summary

Canterbury Hospital in Sydney is recruiting a Registered Midwife to provide woman-centred, evidence-based midwifery care. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care in collaboration with individuals and a multidisciplinary team.

Temporary full-time and part-time positions are available up to December 2026, with extension possible. Applicants must hold current AHPRA registration and demonstrate strong communication and core values alignment.

Qualifications

• Current midwifery registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
• Commitment to person centred care and NSW Health Core Values.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide woman centred, evidence-based midwifery care that promotes identified health outcomes.
