Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Registered Midwife to support Parent Education initiatives in the Neonatal & Women's Health Maternity Unit at Fairfield Hospital. This permanent part-time role (20 hours per week) offers an opportunity to contribute to women and children's health and education.

The successful candidate will hold AHPRA registration, provide safe compassionate care, engage with patients and families, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to drive

Qualifications

• Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA is required.
• Demonstrated ability to provide safe, compassionate care to women and newborns.
• Experience communicating with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong teamwork, initiative and professional conduct in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate midwifery care within the Women and Children's health setting.
• Engage with patients and families to support education and care planning.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to identify needs and improve outcomes.
