Job summary

Prince of Wales Private Hospital in Sydney seeks Registered Midwives to join our dedicated maternity team. You will deliver evidence-based midwifery care in a dynamic birthing unit and post-natal ward, with rotations to the Special Care Nursery as required.

Qualifications

• Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• Proven experience in a similar midwifery role.
• Special Care Nursery experience is advantageous.
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
• Strong clinical decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based midwifery care and an exceptional patient experience.
• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Ensure patient and staff safety.
• Supervise and guide midwifery/nursing team members to deliver care.
• Deliver education and support to mothers and families.
• Work across birthing unit, post-natal ward and Special Care Nursery on rotation.
