Job summary

Isaac Regional Council is seeking an experienced Manager Water & Wastewater to lead and strengthen the region's water, wastewater and recycled water services. The role focuses on safe operations, regulatory compliance and service delivery across plants, networks and pump stations.

You will guide teams, drive improvements and support asset management while balancing safety, customer service and financial outcomes. Local government experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience at local government management level or comparable role.
• Experience across water and wastewater treatment, networks and pump stations.
• Strong leadership, coaching and change-management capability.
• Knowledge of water industry reporting and regulatory obligations.
• Experience driving service improvements and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Lead water and wastewater teams, build capability and succession.
• Oversee treatment, reticulation and bulk distribution services.
• Maintain water quality and environmental compliance reporting.
• Improve operations, assets and service reliability.
• Manage resources, budgets and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Oversee dam safety and emergency preparedness.
