Job summary

Isaac Regional Council is seeking an experienced civil infrastructure leader to oversee planning, design coordination and capital delivery across a diverse regional portfolio. You will build capability, set priorities, and shape how the infrastructure function operates within Council’s Infrastructure Services Directorate.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of engineering/technical teams.
• Experience in civil/infrastructure planning and capital delivery.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with multiple agencies.
• Knowledge of civil construction standards and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineering staff to deliver infrastructure programs.
• Develop long-term infrastructure priorities and capital works programs.
• Coordinate planning, renewals, and delivery of transport and water projects.
• Manage external design consultants and assess technical quality.
• Oversee access approvals and infrastructure agreements with industry.
• Provide engineering input with planning teams on development assessments.
• Identify grant opportunities and prepare funding submissions.
