Job summary

Isaac Regional Council in Queensland seeks a Manager Engineering Services to lead infrastructure planning, capital delivery and technical services across a diverse regional portfolio. You will unite expanded teams, shape priorities, manage consultants and drive value-for-money across roads, water and related assets.

You will build capability, engage with government, industry and communities, and ensure delivery is aligned with community needs and Council priorities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years civil engineering experience or equivalent.
• Proven people leadership and capability development.
• Strong planning, asset management and capital program skills.
• Experience with roads, drainage or related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop engineering staff to build capability.
• Develop 5-, 10- and 20-year infrastructure priorities and programs.
• Coordinate planning, asset renewals and delivery of transport and water projects.
• Manage external design consultants and technical reports.
• Oversee approvals with mining, developers and government partners.
• Provide engineering input into development assessments and works.
• Coordinate bridge inspections and oversee aerodrome requirements.
