Job summary

Tweed Shire Council invites an experienced Operations Coordinator - Electrotechnology to lead and optimise the electrical assets underpinning water and wastewater infrastructure. You will oversee maintenance programs, capital works, and emergency responses, guiding contractor teams and ensuring safety, reliability and customer-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrotechnology professional with strong experience in industrial electrical operations.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and lead high-performing teams.
• Hands-on expertise in water and wastewater electrical systems, instrumentation and control technologies.
• Champion safety, compliance and best practice with a strong understanding of Australian Standards.
• Proactive problem-solving with fault-finding skills and experience using asset management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical and Electronic Technician teams supporting Council infrastructure.
• Coordinate maintenance, projects, contractors and emergency responses across Water and Wastewater assets.
• Drive safe, reliable and efficient service delivery through strong planning and leadership.
• Champion team development, workplace safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise and stakeholder support to optimise asset performance.
