Job summary

Glencore operates in the Greater Ravensworth Area of the NSW Hunter Valley and is seeking a site-based Water and Tailings Engineer to manage the water and tailings system. You will report to the General Manager and analyse volumes while designing and delivering new infrastructure to support operations.

The role requires delivering projects from concept to execution, strong communication, and experience with environmental consents.

Qualifications

• Engineering discipline related to water management.
• Mechanical or electrical trade related to water management.
• CHPP background familiar with water and tailings.

Responsibilities

• Analysing the life of mine water and tailings volumes.
• Implementing strategies to maximise efficient use of regional water and tailings assets.
• Design and construct new infrastructure to meet business needs.
• Manage and maintain existing infrastructure.
• Liaising with sites' nominated personnel to ensure integrated system benefits are realised.
• Monitor and manage water and tailings balances to comply with environmental consents.
