Job summary

Victoria State Emergency Service is seeking a specialist who applies advanced knowledge of training frameworks and operational requirements to solve complex capability and workforce development challenges at unit and regional levels.

The role partners with the Operations Manager Learning & Development, OO-LT, and Unit Support Teams to deliver competency-based training programs and maintain skills, with frequent regional travel including overnight stays.

Key responsibilities

• The role works with stakeholders to identify training gaps and implement targeted plans to strengthen capability and enhance operational capability at identified units.
• The position requires frequent regional travel, including overnight stays, and weeknight and weekend delivery to effectively engage with units.
• Operating with a high level of professionalism and technical expertise, the RVDT works closely with the Operations Manager Learning & Development, Operations Officer – Lead Trainer (OO-LT), and Unit Support Teams to deliver competency-based training programs and skills maintenance activities.
