Queensland Government seeks a Victim Liaison Service Coordinator to lead service delivery for Victim Liaison Officers across the prosecution chambers in North and Central Queensland. This temporary, flexible full-time role runs from 4 January 2027 for seven months, with travel across Far North Queensland regions and potential extension.

You will supervise VLOs, mentor staff, build stakeholder relationships including PACT and victim support services, and report outcomes to the State Manager.

Formación

• Demonstrated understanding of the interaction between victims and the Criminal Justice System.
• Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of trauma informed practice.
• Ability to develop reports and statistical analysis.
• Advanced organisational and prioritisation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee service delivery in accordance with the Charter of Victims' Rights, Director's Guidelines and the guidance documents for prosecuting sexual violence and domestic and family violence offences.
• Ensure VLOs deliver quality services in accordance with relevant legislation, guidelines and frameworks.
• Provide professional supervision of VLOs in the region, and provide mentoring, coaching and training opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including with other staff in the VLS, local chamber based legal practitioners and regional victims' advocacy and support services.
• Represent the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions at regional crime and victim support forums and report on outcomes to the State Manager.
• Initiate contact with victims of violent crimes and assist them through the legal process as required and monitor the accuracy and timeliness of correspondence sent to parties to the prosecution process including victims, their families and police officers.
• Ensure processes and procedures in regional offices are consistent, standardised and efficient, by adapting modern ways of working and digital by default
