Job summary

Queensland Government, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, seeks a Victim Liaison Service Coordinator to oversee VLOs across Far North Queensland and beyond, guiding service delivery under Victims' Rights Charter and ODPP guidelines. Some travel will be required.

You will mentor VLOs, build stakeholder relationships with PACT, victim advocacy groups, and police, and report outcomes to the State Manager while maintaining trauma-informed practice and high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience mentoring or supervising staff or teams.
• Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed practice preferred.
• Ability to develop reports and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service delivery in line with Victims' Rights Charter and guidelines.
• Ensure VLOs provide quality services under ODPP frameworks.
• Provide supervision, mentoring and training to VLOs in the region.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders including VLS, regional practitioners and advocacy services.
• Represent ODPP at regional forums and report outcomes to the State Manager.
• Assist victims through the legal process and monitor correspondence accuracy and timeliness.
• Drive standardized and efficient regional processes, adopting digital by default.
