Job summary

Exact Labour Hire is recruiting a Sous Chef for an ongoing, full-time role in the Cradle Mountain region of Tasmania. The position offers a base salary of $96,000–$105,000 plus superannuation, with an average of 38 ordinary hours per week and opportunities to work at established regional and remote hospitality venues.

Two contactable referees and ability to work a rotating roster (including weekends/holidays) are required, as is the willingness to live and work in regional locations.

Qualifications

• Two years' full-time chef experience with a relevant qualification.
• Or five years' verifiable full-time paid chef experience if no formal qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals.
• Lead kitchen operations during shifts.
• Supervise cooks and kitchen staff.
• Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation.
• Manage stock, ordering and waste control.
• Ensure food safety and workplace hygiene.
• Assist with rostering and duties allocation.
• Support Head Chef when required.
