Job summary

Queensland Corrective Services – Bundaberg QLD is seeking a Team Leader to supervise regional HR, WHS and business support services. The role focuses on delivering effective human resource management, financial oversight and logistical support to achieve regional performance objectives.

The successful candidate will lead strategies, systems and change initiatives, report on outcomes, and liaise with management and staff across levels to ensure timely service delivery and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Demonstrated communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management and staff at all levels.
• Effective interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders with competing interests.
• Written communication and research skills including preparing reports and submissions on complex matters.
• Problem solving and analytical skills for HR issues and improving processes.
• Management skills including project, HR and financial management to ensure efficient resources.
• Experience in a senior HR/WHS role with strategy implementation.
• Experience in organisation design and building teams to meet needs.
• Risk assessment, performance management and strategic planning capabilities.
• Ability to understand legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage regional HR, WHS and support services to meet performance objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies and systems for continuous improvement of capacity and capability.
• Coordinate resources, reporting and change management within the team.
• Liaise with management and staff to secure commitments and align service delivery with priorities.
• Prepare reports and submissions on complex matters and analyze trends to inform decisions.
