Job summary

Mai-Wel is seeking a Senior Mentor to support parents with children under six, delivering person-centred mentoring, coaching and case management across the Upper Hunter region in a multi-site role. The position involves travel to Muswellbrook, Singleton, Scone and Merriwa and engagement with local communities.

You will build strong partnerships with employers and services, develop action plans, monitor progress and contribute to program compliance and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Experience in employment services, community services or related sector.
• Demonstrated person-centred support and case management for individuals facing complex challenges.
• Ability to work across multiple sites while managing competing priorities.
• Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant field (Social Work, Community Services, Counselling, Employment Services, Children's Services, Youth Work).

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred mentoring, coaching and case management to support parents in education, employment and personal goals.
• Assist parents to overcome barriers by connecting with community, employment and support services.
• Develop tailored action plans, conduct regular reviews and monitor progress.
• Promote the Parent Pathways Program and engage with local communities across the Upper Hunter region.
• Build partnerships with employers, stakeholders and community organisations to create opportunities and referrals.
