Job summary

Sarina Russo Group in Warwick is seeking a compassionate Parent/Carer Mentor to join our team on a part-time basis. You will mentor parents one-on-one, lead workshops, and create resources within our Parent Pathways program, with some travel to Goondiwindi.

The role requires lived parenting experience, strong communication, empathy, and the ability to meet targets while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Lived experience in parenting or family support.
• Employment service experience highly regarded.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy, patience and desire to help families.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with community resources preferred.
• Willingness to obtain Working with Children Check.
• Ability to meet targets while maintaining high service standards.
• Respect for diverse backgrounds and inclusive practice.
• Accurate documentation and case management.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised mentorship to parents, offering support and guidance on parenting challenges.
• Assist parents to overcome barriers and empower them toward employment/education goals.
• Facilitate workshops and group sessions on relevant topics.
• Develop and implement educational materials and resources.
• Foster a safe, supportive environment for learning and sharing.
• Collaborate with community organisations to enhance program offerings.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and provide feedback.
