Job summary

Australian Computer Society – Canberra ACT is seeking a strategic Portfolio Engagement Lead to unite two branches, align regional priorities with ACS strategy and translate insights into actionable programs that enhance member value and engagement.

You will lead two Branch Managers, nurture relationships with executives, volunteers and stakeholders, and drive growth, advocacy and operational excellence across ACS activities in NSW & ACT.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams, portfolios or geographically dispersed operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with credibility in representing an organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a two-branch portfolio by setting growth, engagement and advocacy priorities and monitoring performance.
• Lead, coach and develop two Branch Managers with clear priorities and sustainable workloads.
• Build relationships with Branch Executive Committees and support regional priorities and activities.
• Drive professional membership acquisition, event-to-membership conversion, renewal, participation and retention across the portfolio.
• Manage regional Partner Program accounts and coordinate retention and growth opportunities.
• Represent ACS at regional forums, events and stakeholder activities.
• Identify regional needs and translate insights into coordinated actions across ACS.
• Activate Be Heard campaigns by leveraging regional voices for ACS advocacy.
• Monitor governance, reporting, risks and dependencies and escalate material matters promptly.
• Identify and implement improvements to strengthen branch network effectiveness and regional delivery.
