Job summary

Volkswagen Group Australia is seeking a Regional Manager to lead our dealer network, ensuring sales, customer experience and operational performance targets across the region.

You will partner with Dealer Principals and dealership leadership, using data insights to drive performance, forecasting, stock planning and fleet opportunities within a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive OEM, dealership operations or field-based network roles.
• Proven sales, dealer performance or business development experience.
• Bachelor-level or tertiary qualifications in business or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with Dealer Principals, General Managers and dealership leadership teams.
• Support dealers in achieving sales, market share and profitability targets.
• Monitor dealer performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement corrective action plans.
• Forecasting, stock management and inventory planning with dealers.

• Support roll-out and execution of national sales and marketing initiatives.

About Your New Role

As Regional Manager, you will be the key link between Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles Australia and our dealer network. Partnering closely with Dealer Principals, General Managers and dealership leadership teams, you will support the achievement of sales, customer experience and operational performance targets across your region.

Success in this role comes from building strong relationships, understanding dealer businesses, and using data and commercial insights to improve performance. You'll act as a trusted business partner to your dealers while also being their voice within Volkswagen.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Dealer Principals, General Managers and dealership leadership teams.
• Support dealers in achieving sales, market share and profitability targets.
• Monitor dealer performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement corrective action plans where required.
• Work closely with dealers on forecasting, stock management and inventory planning.
• Provide regular performance reporting and insights to support decision-making.
• Support the roll-out and execution of national sales and marketing initiatives.
• Monitor customer experience performance and work with dealers to improve outcomes where required.
• Conduct regular dealer visits and facilitate performance reviews.
• Support dealer development plans, including facility upgrades, network expansion projects and corporate identity standards.
• Assist in the development of fleet and corporate sales opportunities across the region.
• Collaborate with internal teams across Marketing, Product, Aftersales, Logistics and Network Development to deliver aligned business outcomes.

Represent Volkswagen at dealer meetings, committees and forums.

About You:

• Extensive experience within the automotive industry, ideally across OEM, dealership operations or field-based network support roles.
• Proven experience in sales, dealer performance, business development or similar.
• Tertiary qualifications in business or equivalent.
• Commercial and analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret performance data and develop practical action plans.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• The confidence to hold constructive and at times challenging conversations with senior dealership stakeholders.
• A collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

A current driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout your assigned region.
