Pinnacle Hire is seeking a Regional Leader WA & NT / General Manager to drive performance, growth and profitability across the WA/NT region. You will lead branch teams, manage budgets, and align with the national strategy.

You will oversee Capex, fleet utilisation, asset lifecycle, and ROI/ROCE, ensuring safe, compliant operations while developing high-performing teams and delivering customer value. This role also requires regular travel and close collaboration with senior leadership.

Regional Leader - WA/NT / General Manager

As the Regional Leader WA & NT / General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and growth of Pinnacle Hire's Western Australia and Northern Territory operations. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will drive strategic objectives, lead operational excellence, develop high-performing teams, and ensure strong financial performance across the region. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance commercial growth, customer relationships, operational delivery, and team development while ensuring alignment with Pinnacle Hire's national strategy. You will work closely with branch teams, key customers, suppliers, and the senior leadership team to maximise profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction throughout the WA/NT region. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing regional capital expenditure (Capex), fleet utilisation, asset lifecycle management, and fleet disposal strategies to maximise return on investment (ROI), return on capital employed (ROCE), and support sustainable business growth throughout the WA/NT region.

Key responsibilities

Regional Leadership & Strategy

Lead the overall performance, growth, and strategic direction of the WA/NT region.

Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with company objectives.

Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive risks.

Represent Pinnacle Hire with key customers, suppliers, industry bodies, and stakeholders.

Collaborate with the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team to achieve company objectives.

Hold full accountability for regional profit and loss performance.

Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial targets.

Monitor revenue, margins, expenditure, and profitability.

Review financial performance and implement corrective actions where required.

Provide regular financial and operational reporting to the Managing Director.

Business Development & Key Account Management

Drive regional sales growth and market expansion.

Develop and maintain relationships with major customers and strategic partners.

Lead commercial negotiations, tenders, and major contract opportunities.

Identify and secure new business opportunities across WA and NT.

Ensure high levels of customer retention and account growth.

Operational Leadership

Oversee all regional operations to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable service delivery.

Drive equipment utilisation, asset performance, and operational productivity.

Ensure projects and contracts are delivered to customer and company expectations.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives across the region.

Maintain consistency in operational standards, systems, and processes.

Oversee regional capital expenditure (Capex), fleet utilisation, asset lifecycle management, and fleet disposal strategies to maximise return on investment (ROI), maintain appropriate return on capital employed (ROCE), and support sustainable business growth.

Lead, develop, and support Branch Managers and regional employees.

Manage workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.

Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.

Promote Pinnacle Hire's values and leadership standards.

Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies, and industry requirements.

Promote a strong safety culture across all operations.

Manage operational, commercial, and people-related risks.

Support investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Ensure all regional activities meet regulatory and company requirements.

Governance & Decision Making

Exercise delegated authority in accordance with company policies and approval limits.

Ensure sound commercial, operational, and employment decisions are made across the region.

Maintain accurate records, reporting, and business documentation.

Undertake additional projects and leadership responsibilities as directed by the Managing Director.

About you

Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership, operational management, or general management role, with responsibility for multi-site operations and geographically dispersed teams

Proven experience managing a business unit or portfolio with annual revenue exceeding $5 million, including budget management, forecasting, and profit and loss accountability

Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to drive business growth, improve profitability, manage major customer relationships, and negotiate commercial agreements

Sound understanding of the hire, construction, mining, industrial services, or related sectors

Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills

Strong organisational and strategic planning capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver business objectives

Valid driver's licence (required)

Willing and able to travel regularly throughout Western Australia and the Northern Territory
