Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria, is seeking an HR Officer to coordinate end-to-end recruitment across the Loddon region and assist rostering and staff records. Based at Loddon Region Prisons, you will support recruitment from job ads to interviews, manage contracts, and provide timely advice on employment rules.

Travel between prison locations and occasional after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• End-to-end recruitment experience or related HR work.
• Experience supporting rostering and staff records.
• Knowledge of employment laws, policies and procedures is advantageous.
• Strong communication and people skills in a diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment from ads to referee checks.
• Prepare job documents, track contracts and assist new staff settling in.
• Provide clear, timely advice on recruitment, pay and employment rules.
• Keep staff records up to date and report vacancies.
• Support rostering tasks while meeting deadlines.
