Job summary

SA Health is looking for a Home Helper to support consumers to maintain independence and live safely at home. You will help with domestic tasks, build strong relationships and support care goals in the community.

You will work independently, deliver flexible, person-centred services, and participate in ongoing professional development to improve outcomes and quality of life for those in regional living settings.

Qualifications

• Current driver's licence and access to a reliable, registered and insured motor vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and build positive relationships with consumers and families.
• Experience or interest in domestic assistance, housekeeping and laundry duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance including meal preparation, housekeeping and laundry duties, while building positive relationships with consumers and supporting their individual care goals.
• Work independently in the community, deliver flexible, person-centred services and contribute to quality outcomes through collaboration, communication and ongoing professional development.
• Support people to remain independent and comfortable in their own homes.
