Job summary

SA Health's Limestone Coast Local Health Network is seeking a Home Support Worker to assist older people and those with disability to maintain independence at home across sites in Mount Gambier, Millicent, Bordertown, Naracoorte, Keith, Kingston and Penola.

You will provide practical, person-centred support under Consumer Directed Care, including housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation, while collaborating with health professionals to ensure safe, respectful and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in community settings.
• Flexible rostering and time management to meet deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with diverse cultures while maintaining confidentiality.
• Knowledge of safe working practices, infection control, cleaning and sanitising, and WHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide general household duties including cleaning, laundry, bed making and meal preparation.
• Work autonomously in the community while building positive relationships with consumers and families.
• Collaborate with Country Health Connect health professionals to deliver high-quality support.
