South West Healthcare (SWH) is inviting applications for a salaried Specialist Gastroenterologist to join our team and provide high-quality gastroenterology services across the region.

The role includes outpatient clinics, endoscopy, and participation in the gastroenterology roster, with a focus on teaching junior doctors and undergraduates. FRACP or equivalent and AHPRA registration are essential, with extensive gastroenterology experience preferred.

Qualifications

• AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner.
• FRACP or an equivalent specialist qualification.
• Extensive gastroenterology experience.
• Commitment to quality improvement and best practice.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution and team-building skills.
• Experience in training and mentoring junior medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient and endoscopy services (upper and lower GI).
• Participate in the weekday gastroenterology consultation roster.
• Teach and mentor junior doctors and undergraduates.
• Contribute to expanding and enhancing gastroenterology services in a regional setting.
