Mackay Base Hospital in Mackay, QLD, invites applications for a Staff Specialist/Snr Staff Specialist Gastroenterologist to join the Medicine Department on a Permanent Part-time basis (60 hrs p.f.). Qualifications

• Desirable: ERCP credentialing
• Capsule endoscopy experience
• Inflammatory bowel disease expertise
• Hepatology experience

Responsibilities

• Assessment and management of acute gastrointestinal diseases
• Inpatient gastroenterology consultations
• Outpatient gastroenterology clinics
• Endoscopy lists and procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, haemostasis, dilatation, PEG insertion (where credentialed)
• Review of emergency referrals and development of management plans
• Liver disease management and inflammatory bowel disease clinics
