Job summary

Barwon Health in Geelong is seeking an experienced Gastroenterologist (FRACP) to lead inpatient and outpatient services, provide direct patient care, supervise junior doctors, and participate in the on-call roster. You will drive endoscopy/hepatology services, mentor teams, contribute to education and quality improvement, and engage with the local community to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• FRACP registration with AHPRA is required.
• Further qualification in Gastroenterology is preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in developing the service for patient and community needs.
• Experience in Endoscopy and/or Hepatology is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology care.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, supervise junior medical staff, and participate in on-call roster.
• Support education, training, and supervision of junior doctors and trainees.
