Job summary

Blackbook Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Services Lead to head a regional operation in Dubbo, NSW. The role combines senior leadership with hands-on electrical expertise, managing field teams across water, wastewater, utilities and industrial environments.

You will oversee project delivery, client relationships and business development while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification required.
• Current NSW or Australian A-Grade Electrical Licence.
• Strong industrial electrical & automation experience.
• Experience in water, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure or industrial environments.
• Exposure to PLCs, SCADA, telemetry, instrumentation and motor control systems.
• Experience leading electricians, supervising projects or coordinating field teams.
• Strong organisational, scheduling and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities autonomously.
• Willingness to travel between regional NSW sites.
• Commercial mindset for leadership and business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and support field-based electricians and staff.
• Manage daily operations, project scheduling and resource allocation.
• Oversee electrical installations, maintenance and project delivery.
• Travel to regional customer sites to oversee works and maintain relationships.
• Provide technical support with electrical breakdowns, fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Work across water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, pumping stations and reservoirs.
• Manage customer relationships with councils, utilities and industrial clients.
• Support quotations, tender submissions and local business development.
• Mentor and develop apprentices, electricians and junior team members.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Maintain high safety, quality and electrical compliance.
